Wow. Oxford is reeeeeally reaching on this one. Force majeure exists to protect the company from having leases expire if they are kept from doing it by unforeseen circumstances, i.e. blizzard, road access denied, etc. Public documents stating that the land they leased was under a coal lease is NOT a force majeure situation. Not even close. Oxford ought to settle this thing, let the landowners out of their (obviously expired) leases and move on.
