NARO-Appalachia, WVROA, SORO, and WV Farm Bureau strongly oppose HB4639 and SB646.  These bills allow:

• 49% of leaseholders to be forced pooled with NO compensation.
• Take away ability of land & mineral owners to sue for damages
• Force mineral owners to sue leaseholders for any payments for their minerals
• Eliminate ability to negotiate depth of drilling or target formations in leases
• Eliminate any surface protections for land ownes
• Allow deductions to taken from royalty payments

Please call your state senator and delegates and ask them to vote "No" on these bills.  Need to call and email today as they are on first reading today and will be on third reading on Wed.
