your first photo in this batch contains a shed with battery bank charged by the solar panel. The vents between the shed and solar panel pole have fire suppression equipment (Hydrogen given off from the lead-acid batteries while charging is highly flammable.

 

Your second photo contains an impressive dual oil tank battery with berm/bunding to capture oil in the event of a leak. These tanks are made from steel and they corrode, and sadly, idiots driving around still think its cool to shoot these tanks to see what happens.

 

I'll give a look at the third photo and will give my opinion.

the third photo is a side on view of a horizontal treater/stabilizer for the fluid that comes from the well. It separates the fluid from the gas and boils off most of the free gas from the oil to stabilize the oil to  reduce the explosion risk while it sits in the tank prior to collection and transport to the refinery.

Brian Powers, the powerful & knowledgable (a sincere compliment, sir) - how 'serious' is this set-up?...what do I mean by 'serious? - WHAT does this 'pad/rig' say 'serious/down-to-business wise' to you? HOW important is this - from the G/O side of things?

*S in WV - PIPES all over your property? - processing plant across the street from you?...man - hope you made out good on your lease wording concerning these matters (pipelines...). 'Gas from all over the state is cutting across my land.'?...MAN!

A very happy new year to you, too, and thank you for the kind words.

I re-examined the second batch of photos. The oil/condensate tanks look to be about 200 barrels capacity to me (an oilfield barrel is 42 U.S. gallons, a chemical drum is 55 U.S. gallons).

The fired treater in 15.17.39.jpg should have a nameplate riveted to it that shows the manufacturer, model, serial number, rated maximum working pressure and maybe throughput capacity.

Given the size of the tanks and the valves/piping on the treater, it looks like a promising well pad to me from a productive standpoint.

I'm sorry, but I don't have any first hand knowledge of Mercer and Crawford Counties in PA. One of the true beauties of the O&G business is the dynamic nature of it. Things don't stand still for very long.

My background is more from the technical side: drilling and completions, well construction/ interventions/ stimulation design, execution and evaluation, and reservoir management. I'm conversant in leasing and division orders, but many decades removed from any direct involvement. I spent most of my career in the developing world where the state owned the mineral rights, not the people, many of whom did not even own surface rights.

I wish you the very best for 2014 and I hope that you are well on your journey to become wealthy beyond your dreams from your minerals.
