They can't drill deeper on an existing well. The additional wells drilled on the pad can go deeper.

I was not talking about an existing well...but a new h/Marcellus well...they got the permit reissued to drill deeper then the original permit was issued for one of my wells in the unit I am leased with.  I would give you the permit no. but it is personal info.  However, if you go on the PA Dep of Energy you can pull up the info about permits issued for 2010 and 2011...and my wells are there.  However they are by the farm name and you will see that they reissue/revise permits to drill the horizontal well deeper then originally proposed.
