Chesapeake finally files Chapter 11

We've all seen it coming.  CHK filed for Chap 11 today, now things might get interesting.  They're obviously trying to put a very positive spin on it.

Oh and they're asking royalty owners who are currently holding un-cashed checks to hold off on depositing them for a week or so.....  for the sake of many, hope that "request" doesn't get extended indefinitely.

I don't think they are asking you not to cash them. They are Telling you that they won't clear the bank because their accounts are frozen until the bankruptcy judges approved the reorganization plan
