Call it what you will:  skunk hunt, just desserts, whatever.

Chesapeake is a filthy outfit, well deserving of this action.

For those of you who didn't read the article:

"in the ongoing underpayment of royalties to landowners and other royalty interest owners, as a result of the improper deduction of the artificially inflated costs," the press release said."

Artificially inflated costs.............uh huh!

I do love that they are bringing suit under RICO.  That is so wonderfully juicy.  The RICO statutes bring to mind copious sleaze.  And goodness knows some of these O&G outfits, especially CHK, are about as sleazy and they come, and are running rackets wherein we honest landowners are principal victims.  Dealing with CHK?  If yes, you are dealing with unvarnished scum.
