I am so happy for my county about this. This will help on so many levels. I bet someone will be smart enough to re-open that dealership that closed in Lisbon a few years back.
When there was talk of adding plants in Ohio or WV I had such negative thought's, thinking, "I bet it won't be here" WELL IT IS!!! Yea for Columbiana County! We need something for everyone to be happy about not just the land owners.
On a side note maybe this will help us very rural folks get decent internet now and not have our wallets sucked dry by Hughes. Maybe :0).
Don't forget about adding Wild Blue to the satelitte internet sucks list. I told my family if we get decent royalties I will contact DSL and lay the cable line to the house to get in the modern society. Rural living has it's plus's and minus's though.
I'll wager the new plant will be closer to Summittville than Hanoverton
I have been told that the plant is going to be located just west of Kensington on route 30. I guess there is an old meat packing plant there now.
I do not know for sure but I think that the plant in kensington will seperate the propane, butane and ethane from the natural gas. The propane and butane will be put into railcars at the plant in kensington and the only thing that will go to harrison county through the pipeline is the ethane which will be turned into ethylene at the harrison plant. There is a rail road track running right through Kensington very close to where the plant is going to be.
Again, I do not know any of this for sure I am only guessing.
Does anyone know if this will have an effect on the shell cracker plant that is planned for Beaver County? That really is not that awful far from the new Ohio plants?

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
