I have an abandoned well on my property that I was told needs plugged. The original lease has expired and the well area and old lease road are grown up. They told me they need to put a new lease road in and clear a large area around the well. What type of compensation should I expect from this?

the compensation to expect is damage to growing crops and timber cut to plug the well. you will need a Timber appraisal, contact your county extension agent. Two make sure that the pluggers will carry off all produced fluids and waxes not just bury them.
The plugging is complete. I did not receive any cash but they cleared my existing 4 wheeler paths and made a few new ones for me.
They avoided taking down any big trees and only cleared about a 1/2 acre.
I received about a $1000 worth of dozer work and a nice food plot for deer and turkey hunting. I'm happy with it.
