Today Carrizo Oil & Gas announced that it is entering the Utica Shale Play by way of a Joint Venture with Avista Capital Partners. There are 15,000 acres involved and Carrizo is paying $1,500 per  acre for ONLY 10% interest. You do the math. What would the value per acre be for 100% interest?

If you have an "old" lease with Red Hill Development (RHDK) also known as Kimble, you will be interested with the top article on their JV with Aubrey McClendon's new company. Most of those leases are in Guernsey, Harrison, or Tusc. counties. First well is to be drilled in Harrison county. See the link....

Gulfport Energy released their 3rd qtr. financial and operating results tonight. A recording is on their website, along with an updated presentation. Their biggest news was that their Irons well in the dry gas zone showed strong initial performance. They have also struck an agreement with Rice to cooperate in four townships in Belmont County.
