Finally received initial production checks for a well my family is unitized in. My question is about deductions from the checks. The stub lists two separate compression and gathering costs...does anyone know what each one is for? Also under transportation...from July '13 through October '13 transportation costs worked out to between $.116/MCF and $.134/MCF per month. In November however those costs skyrocketed to over $.685/MCF, dropped to $.362/MCF in December and back up to $.448/MCF in January. Did anyone else see a similar rise in their respective units? Any idea as to a reason for such an increase? I was thinking maybe cold weather (snow removal, cindering, etc) but as I recall while the winter was cold in NE Pennsylvania it wasn't that snowy/icy.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I see exactly the same things on my statements. Can't offer any explanation on the two entries for compression and gathering but a while back the second entries were tagged as "third party" charges. For me they are a matter of a few cents on the total production for the month. As far as the transportation charge, there was a fair amount of discussion on the topic in the Bradford county group a few months back. From what I gather, CHK was transporting much more gas through another pipeline system due to issues with the Tennessee line and this resulted in higher charges.
