During a speech in Latin America, Pres Obama appeared to hint that he was going to approve the exporting of LNG.  He told leaders in Latin America that we would be a natural gas exporter by 2020 and that our nat gas surplus would help to reduce energy costs for Latin America

This should give companies more confidence of stable prices and encourage more nat gas development. The question is will this help unleased landowners get better bonus rates and royalties? Would it be better to wait a few months for this to be official....if you trust O to actually do it? If you have a lease that is to expire in the year or two this could be very helpful.

While ultimately this is good news for all in the nat gas world it pains me to see how impotant our nation is becoming. Does a free market exsist anymore? Election season is just around the corner again and I shudder to think about the unending barrage of political commercials. The ones where any democrat or republican love to tout their history of job creation. No politician has created a job ever unless they owned a business in a previous life. They mearly created a hurdle or removed an obstacle for an actual job creator. I guess this is just the way it is now but I'm sick of American entrepreneurs needing the blessing of any president or politician to bring ideas to market. Sorry, rant over, interesting article, hope it brings prosperity to our country.
