Every Pennsylvania in-the-shale landowner needs to watch this PCN interview with Senator Yaw, the most powerful PA Senator where energy is concerned:

Prepare yourself.  There is a LOT of stuff in this interview, some deeply disturbing for PA landowners.  The interview goes a bit less than one half hour, but the NG portion, which comes first, lasts only about twenty minutes.

For me, amidst much of concern, especially disconcerting was Yaw's blanket statement that PA (i.e., our) natural gas is priced at the wellhead!!!!!

In that instance, and in several others, Yaw sounded as if he represents primarily the gas companies, NOT US!!

There was another VERY troubling aspect of Yaw's pronouncements for me.  Remember, Yaw is a lawyer.  As such, he sees all solutions, all responses to our many problems with the gas companies, as coming through judicial means and NOT through legislative means.  I have witnessed this way of thinking among lawyers throughout my life within a myriad of other contexts.  Lawyers love litigation because litigation enriches lawyers.

However, Yaw is now supposedly a State Senator first, not a lawyer first.  But that surely does not come through when you listen to him speak on energy issues.  If you already think we PA in-the-shale landowners have problems, you will be absolutely certain we have serious problems after you listen to Mr. Yaw, whom it is our distinct misfortune to have sitting where he is sitting.
