Does anyone know if the lawsuit against the MWCD and Antero (http://www.cantonrep.com/article/20140410/News/140419857) has resulted in a work stoppage on the well under Senecaville Lake?

I mean the well between State Route 147 and the Lake, on the southwest side of the Lake. It has three laterals that run under the Lake.
I heard from someone who talked to a worker at the site and they said that at the moment there is no rig at the pad. Two of the laterals under the Lake were drilled and the third lateral still has a status of "drilling". The worker said that they do plan to bring a rig back to finish up, but did not know the date it would return. Whether the work stoppage is tied to the lawsuit is unknown.
ODNR has updated their map, with the three laterals under Seneca Lake (the Myron Unit on the Myron Pad) now listed as “producing”.
The dates completed are from last fall, so apparently ODNR’s map was not up to date:
Myron 1H 11/24/2013
Myron 2H 12/11/2013
Myron 3H 11/03/2013
Back to the original question on this thread.....does anyone know if the lawsuit against the MWCD and Antero is affecting other drilling sites under MWCD land (not the Myron unit site which appears to have been drilled prior to the lawsuit)? For example, I am told there is a pad already constructed to be called the Seneca unit that will also drill under MWCD land. Anyone have any updated information on that or other units that will supposedly drill under MWCD land?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
