fresh water impoundment station

Has anyone been approached about a fresh water impoundment station on their property? What is something like that worth to a landowner?

Someone from Gulfport contacted me a few months ago. They said they were considering my land for an impoundment site. Didn't get into many specifics, but they mentioned 1/2 cent paid per gallon of water taken. I'm in Ohio, Belmont county, Richland township.
