have land in lenox ohio

1600 per acre seems low to me .Does anyone feel that that is low as well?? where can we turn ??who else is out there to pay more..?

Way to low. The middle man will sell the lease to the oil company ,and the middle man will make what we should have made.My Family in Salem ,ohio got 4800.00 per acre.

Has anyone in ,Ashtabula county, been contacted with any other offers different from Wishgard????

As you are probably aware, Wishguard is just a flipper...  no guarantee that you will ever get paid.  A group called NELA is also trying to sign leases in Ashtabula, but beware, they are not a "landowner pool" as they claim.  Like Wishguard, they want you to sign their lease in hopes they can sell it to someone else.  They give themselves the ability to tie up the landowner for years at a time with no guarantee of any payment.  Several large landowners in Ashtabula County including myself are waiting for a true landowner pool to form.  It's in the works...  let's just be patient.

Wishgard is not the way to go.I will not sign any lease they offer.All the land owners in Ashtabula County need to ban together.We need a community meeting with the "right people ".. This area is going to produce alot of oil and natural gas.We all deserve to be paid for what is under our land..So, if you get a letter promising you the moon, procced with caution.

To me this sounds very low compared to offers we've received and others that friends have taken. I heard of someone in Harrison who who definately got 4950 and 18.5% and another friend in Jefferson said they got 4800 and 19.5% from Hess. I heard of a lawyer by the name of Emens out of Columbus. Don't know if he's available or what. We're still trying to make good decisions, too. All you can know is what others tell you until you get a good lawyer.

What a shame, they will try to take what is clearly ours.We need to be patient ,and beat them at their own game..lenox folks need to ban together.
