An acquaintance just received their 2nd royalty check on a well in Carrol county. The check for the first 3 months was about 62% oil royalties, and the check for the 2nd month was 77% oil royalties. That's the good news. The bad news is that the check only amounts to about $64/acre@12.5%, no deductions. Very little gas is being produced about 13,000 mcf total for July, and the selling price was $1 less than in June.
I'm wondering if the well is being throttled back. For the month of July oil production would be about 64 bbls/day, although I don't know how many of those days the well actually produced.
Are there pipelines in place to handle the oil?
