How are royalities paid

So if I own 50 acreas mineral rights and find out I'm in the production unit do I get paid on all 50 acreas or just the part the well touched. Very confused and each person tells me something different.

im in two diffeent units, they will tell you how many of your 50 is in that unit. They will have it in the court house also where you look at deeds. They can change the unit size and put in or take some out untill totally done. Not once they send out a Division Order should stay same. You can have wells drilled on you and only lets say 50 acres used out of your 200 acres owned. Division Order tells it all.
