For those who have already received a royalty check i have a question. I  recently received first payment and  am a bit confused about how to find out how many days well has been in production. It does not say anywhere on the sheets how many days in production. It has a bunch of different lines with different production amounts (oil, gas etc etc) on each line. they are all different.  Is each line a days worth of production? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS

Go here to get a good overview of the CHK check stub detail:  CHK Check Stub

You won't find the number of days in production on the CHK stub.  You can email production@chk.com and ask for the number of days in production for your well/wells.

John,

Assuming you live in Ohio, Go to the Ohio Dept Of Natural Resources (see website below) and look at the production for the 1st Qtr 2014 for your well. The production data will tell you how many days your well has been in production.

I've been getting a royalty check for a month, just got my second statement. If you want some help email me and I will give you my phone number so I can walk you through it. If the amount seems seriously low, like $57 an acre, as the Buck Well 1H was, we need to talk.

Ron- thanks for response. I have looked at first quarter production and that is what I'm going by. For the well I'm tied into first quarter results say less than 30 days production. I guess the thing I'm confused about is isn't the first check for 3 months? If so, that would be march-may for this particular well. Meaning mays #s would not be in first quarter report. Just FYI if it is indeed 3 months worth my first check works out to roughly $90 an acre.

John,

email me at below, the sooner the better.
