I'm in a pool on a pad that has 2 wells drilled, six more just got posted to drill, the total acres in the unit is 475. My question is: Does an owner who as been declared in the pool, get paid on all the wells that are in production on the pad or just one? Or does it depend on which of the wells that is going under your property or are they all going the same way?

I'm confused, I ask this question to different people I get different answers, some say you get paid on all wells drilled on the pad, some say no, can someone clarify this for me

                                                                            Thanks

You get royalties on all the wells in your declared unit, the pad has nothing to do with it. It's believe it's possible for wells to be on the same pad, but in different units.

apparently there are 2 types of units.....drilling units and production units.......so you get paid for any acres that are in the production unit, from all wells that are in the production unit.

i know there can be multiple drilling units from a single pad......i'm pretty sure there can be more than one production unit from a single pad, but usually just one production unit per pad.........like either a 1,200 acre production unit - or two 600 acre production units.

so if you are in a 475 production unit, then maybe you will only get royalties from the half of the wells that come your direction.

The way chk is paying is you have a north and a south unit from well pad. Everyone in those units share in whatever is put into production. Lets say there only one well in north unit in production who ever is in that north unit will receive royalties from the day the well went online, even if it hasn't crossed your property yet.
