I wonder how many people are going to the meetings on Tuesday?

How many landowners were affected by the Halcon decision? What will CX energy talk about since they only have 2 hours between meetings? Will they allow landowners to leave the group and search for leases on their own? I dont know what they could say or do to make landowners believe or trust them again?

  1. That decision was based on a determination by the court that the allegations about Jerry Falwell having sex with his mother constituted a parody. The court said Falwell did not suffer harm to his reputation, because no sane person could believe the allegations. Is there a lawyer on the site that can explain this to Elnathan?

Lots of comments about what documents clients of M&P/CXenergy signed. I have heard references to the "leases" and also to the "marketing agreement". There have been many well-meaning posts commenting on what people should do. Many of us have made comments but done so without seeing a copy of the documents in question. It would be most helpful to see a copy of what documents were signed. Possibly the documents have been posted, and I just missed seeing them?

They Lied! Get it! It isn't even a parody! It is the truth!

Buddy, The time has come here for you to quit your online complaining, Allright??

Everyone is angry, dissapointed, decieved, every range of emotion it's all there.

Do yourself a favor, do all the research you can on Co-Ex, CX, the lawfirm, the landman they employed, their relationship to the Drilling company, ask good calm pointed questions at the meeting, sit up front and dont act like a fool. I will stop and say hi at the Grove City one if I can. Then do some research on what your options are. There was a sucessfull suit in Westmoreland County a while back where a similar situation occoured, the landownetrs banded together on their own and got a deal with the same company. It was with Rex in Derry Twp. Over cancelled leases, look it up. I agree they lied over and over and over again at every opportunity in every available forum. Anger is a wasted emotion, they are counting on this. Time to be smart.

I will never quit my online complaining as you call it. Facts are facts and I only hope to educate others as to the severity of this situation. I will not down play it at all. These people have misrepresented and lied. Forums like these are just the place to lambaste these liars. Maybe you didn't lose half a million dollars like I did! This may never come my way again. I trusted these liars and i got ripped off. Is it time to stop the anger over what happened over September 11, 2001? I do not think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Schnoozie: Even though you have criticized me in the past, I think the above post is one of your very best. I think it is the best advice for all of the disappointed landowners who supposedly will not be paid. I  sympathize with Elnathan and I have posted many times trying to get him to be more reasonable. It appears that he is working himself into a white hot fury. M&P/CX, I believe may have made a mistake, and indeed a very serious mistake. Nevertheless it appears they did 4 or 5 prior deals in Pa. and Ohio and that the O&G companies who leased acreage from those groups paid all of the landowners. In that sense, I do not believe that M&P/CX energy or their representatives lied. Afterall, it appears that with their prior large deals, all of the landowners in those prior groups got paid. Now along comes Halcon, who looks at what may be pretty much identical documentation, and they examine the language in the documents and realize that they may be able to 'cherry-pick" which acreage they wish to pay bonus money on. I do not concede that Halcon is right, but it may be legally able to get away with it. You are right that court action may be required and I have offered a suggestion in an earlier posting today of what M&P/CX could do to restore their own reputation. If M&P/CX truly believed, however erroneously, that Halcon was obligated to pay bonuses to all of the Mount Jackson 4 acreage, at the time when they made such representations, then they did not lie. I own property in Venango County, and I have no relationship to M&P/CX energy. My property is not leased. All my posts are intended to be helpful or thought provoking. I suspect that neither the disappointed landowners nor M&P/CX energy appreciate most of them.

I co-manage a business up here, meet a 20 + employee payroll every two weeks, pay out way more taxes than most people and we have expanded into servicing this new industry. We are growing because of Oil and Gas, it is a real blessing that needs cultivated very carefully. I dont want to see it go away but develop and a nice steady pace.

Do your research and think people....

Some of my neighbors and friends had the opportunity to get in this deal, some did, some did not, some who did were picked and a few were not.

One thing these people cannot explain away by any means is what was said, how it was delivered, promised, sold, guaranteed etc. To the landowners. I would sprain my wrist cutting and pasting all their stories on here that turned out to be completely bogus.

It will be interesting to see if any senior or founding partner of this very young start up Co-Exprise not just M&P lawyers is coming tonight to either meeting.

Another little thing I have noticed. Have you ever wondered why no one from any other gas company, big or small, broker, marketing agency, develpment company. Comments on here. It's always the same people.....very unusual.
