I am looking for someone who owns property in Island Creek, Ohio. We are receiving contradictory information. Some sources say our property is worth very little and others say it potentially has great value. We are looking for someone who has experience in Island Creek relative to the value of property with potential for drilling. We would also appreciate recommendations for lawyers in the area who might work on our behalf. Thank you.

The probable reason that you are getting conflicting opinions is the location of your property.

Most of the activity is now taking place west of you in the proven oil/wet gas areas.
Eventually your property will command more interest.
You shouldn't accept low ball lease offers just to have a lease.
Be patient, the good offers will come.
Thank you, Mark. I appreciate the answer. That gives us a more accurate understanding of what is going on.
