Signed a lease with Wishgard almost a year ago with absolutely no action yet.  Hard to get a hold of anybody as to why we haven't heard from them (no money, no recording, etc.).  Any suggestions?

send them a certified letter for failure of payment, give them 30 days to cure default.

Your lease SHOULD have language regarding their obligation to pay.

If they are in breach of that agreement then do as Dane says and send certified letter with 30 days to cure default.

Or one step better, have an Atty. do for you.

IMHO

Thanks!

what county is your property in?

Thomas: Why did you sign with an out fit like Wishgard?. This company is an obvious shell. You get paid bonus money only if and when they are able to assign ("flip") your lease to a real O$G company for more money! Sad that landowners continue to sign leases  with fly by night companies like this. I just don't get it! But it happens over and over and over again???

Wetzel County.  I live in Ohio.  I am not really "in touch" with who or what is available down there.

Yea.. forget about Wishgard.. doesn't appear it's going to happen.

Join with a group of Landowners who actually hAve a sAy in the contract.. seems to be the ONLY way to get a Fair Lease.. otherwise some poorly structured attorney's groups usually just want to make a fast buck.. at your expense.
