Landowner Consultant Wanted - Advice Please!

We manage thousands of acres of land in Pennsulvania. Much of it is within the Marcellus Shale play. As you can imagine, we are getting hammered with offers from oil and gas companies, land men, etc. I am looking for a consultant that represents landowners and not operators or oil and gas companies. We are looking to hire somebody that has experience is determining exactly what it is that we own (title search or otherwise) and laying out the best path to get those rights to market.

You certainly appear to be taking a very intelligent approach to protecting your interests.

There are a number of different groups at Penn State that have developed resources directed at the Marcellus Shale.

You might wish to contact some of the faculty at Penn State, as they might be able to direct you to a former student/researcher that would possess the varied skills that you require.
