Hi -
1st timer here. I was just wondering if anyone had any leases that expired? Reason being, I have 2 separate properties. 1st is a lease w/ Chief in Sullivan County, "expired" in Oct 2010 -but the day before my lease ran out, they parked a dozer on the neighboring property (which we were put into the unit a couple days prior) & called it "commencement of operations, although the dozer sat there for a week w/out being moved.
The 2nd property is in Bradford Co, was a Chief lease, now bought out by Chesapeake. That one ran out mid December w/a well pad built in Sullivan Co on the county line & I was unitized w/ that well a day after my lease ran out. When confronting Chesapeake, they told me that I was unitized on the 1st of December, but I was never notified, nor was it recorded, until the day after my lease expired.
Has anyone ever heard of these practices in the past? If so, I'd appreciate any comments - as I will most likely be taking legal action w/ this.
