Hi

I was wondering if there were some materials issues in shale gas production or/and transportation (for ex corrosion) ?

Lots of water is used (mixed with chemicals), the temperature of the shale gas might be in the range of 86-140F (good for bacteria)  so the extracted gas might not be so dry and may as well carry some impurities.

Does the extracted gas need to go through cleaning processes (in order to meet pipeline transportation specifications)?

Thanks for your input.

There is some wet gas made in The Marcellus. In a few counties. Small corrision issues at times. Generally using heater treaters as required. Some scale inhibitors are used but not much. Hope this helps
