Has anyone ever received a check with negatives in the volume and gross value columns?

I have not been able to reach chesapeake to answer what this means.

Thanks

Did you owe them money ? j/k

No, this is the check stub from our royalty checks   This is negative numbers for well volume and gross value of the volume.   It makes no sense.

I don't know if this is the same situation you are asking about, but my latest check from CHK included a three page statement section. This included negative amounts for production volumes and gross values going back to July of 2013, but each was followed with a section replacing them with positive figures. As far as I can tell, they were making some adjustments to figures in the detailing of deductions and (I'm guessing here) used the negative entries to back the existing data out of their accounting program before putting in the revised numbers.

Thanks for your reply Tom.   I did finally get a hold of someone and was told basically what you said.  Internal audit that has nothing to do with production numbers
