New pipeline question
Does anyone know if its legal to spread drilling mud on pipeline ROW to get rid of it? There is nothing in the contract to address this. Just asking.

I would not think this is legal but to be sure contact the oil and gas inspectors, in Ohio the ODNR

Thanks, we are checking on it tomorrow. I wouldn't think they would be that stupid but you never know. Its gray looking. It may be from drilling under the roads.

It really is a depends type of question, for instance as you point out it could be "mud" from road bores. That may be legal but I'm certain that drilling mud (from oil and gas wells) can't be disposed of in this manner. So it's best to contact an inspector or other official.
