"The state moratorium on hydrofracking to mine natural gas from underground shale formations expires at the end of this month and the State Assembly on Monday voted to extend it for another year.  Lawmakers want a full and exhaustive environmental review of the potential dangers of the process"

To date, the Senate has yet to vote on the measure.
