Does anyone know when they will start installing pipelines in Randolph County, West Virginia? And if so - does anyone know where they will go?
A landsman told me that there were plans to build a pipe from existing infrastructure in Elkins (actually a little to the south in Beverly) into southern Randolph and presumably Pocahontas counties within 5 years. However that was before the economic downturn and so do not know right now.
How do pipeline companies (such as Dominion Resources) typically compensate landowners for a pipeline easement on their property? Is there a one-time payment? Annual payments? Also, does anyone know the average $ amount paid to landowners for pipeline easements, and how that amount is determined (e.g., number of feet in the pipeline or number of square feet for the 50' wide path needed for the pipeline easement)? Any information on this would be much appreciated.
