Plat survey

I recently received a certified letter from EQT regarding a Plat survey for rights owned in harrison county. Specifically Eagle- Outside area. Can anyone give any info on this. I am clueless. Thanks in advance.

I think it means that you own mineral rights that are on a tract where EQT has a lease, maybe an old one which they bought from another company. They are planning on putting a well on or under your property and they want you to know that they are going to be surveying to prepare the plat, or map, of the proposed well area. Could that be the case?

We do own the Mineral Rights. Haven't had much luck with EQT

Grrrr. Wasn't finished hit wrong button. Anyway. Haven't had much luck negotiating with EQT in the past. I guess u was just curious to why they would be notifying the mineral owner. I could understand notifying the land owner.

That happened with us with EQT, in Ritchie co.
