"There will be a change to the current reporting system regarding horizontal wells. Instead of companies reporting production annually, they will have to report production quarterly, beginning in January 2014," said Simmers. "We are also looking to increase our field staff. Jobs are posted on the ODNR website."

Other changes drillers are asking for an increase to the number of wells allowed on a four-acre pad, from 12 to 14.

Great post!  Now if companies are required to post production quarterly, ODNR, do you have the necessary computer programs in place so that landowners will be able to see those production numbers on a quarterly basis?  Just askin' as ODNR is a government tax supported agency serving the public.

Yeah I hope they will be prepared. This years production report was about a fiasco for sure. Too bad the drillers still don't have to report the NGL numbers to ODNR. Maybe they will in time but I highly doubt it. This will be great for landowners to see well numbers every 3 months.
