I have noticed the posting of events here in different discussions, from land owners meetings to Fracking debates. To find some of these events it is a lucky hit or miss depending upon what discussions you happen to visit. I think it would be to everyone's benefit if they know of a landowners meeting, a open public debate upon fracking, oil field job fairs, that would be of interest to the members  that the post that information in the EVENTS SECTION found in the middle of the GOM home page at the bottom.

 Perhaps a bigger text needs to be put into that area to draw attention to it. If you want people to attend a event you need to let them know in a timely manner.
