Which came first, the chicken or the egg ? Or in regards to Utica Shale; which came first the wells or the infrastructure?
I think you get the answer reading the conclusion section on the first page of this report. " The Ohio Utica continues to look like a very econpmic play, especially given the fact that many wells were constrained by infrastructure issues."
In other words the wells are drilled first and the infrastructure follows. Not the other way around as one poster to this site continues to insist. Looked at a different way; areas of the Utica do no remanin undeveloped due to lack of infrastructure. Those areas remain undeveloped because operators have decided there are better areas to expend their exploration dollars.
