royalties

if a well is put in within a mile from our property are we entitled to any royalties and if so who would contact us?

Are you leased ? Are you leased with the company that is drilling the well?

The company should have contacted you.

What state, county and township.

already have an existing vertical well on our property that is still producing so no one can sign with us or so we've been told.  we are located in Ohio, Trumbull county, Johnston Twp.

That is probably a BP well. They would have notified you.

Since you are HBP, you may be approached to sign an amendment to your lease, DON'T SIGN. Contact me.

what do you mean by HBP?  we've heard that if they don't run the legs our direction then it won't include us.  should we contact BP or wait?

go to your local court house and look up that well pad by name and you will see all the properties that are in the north and south units. HBP means  HELD BY PRODUCTION
