We just got our first royalty check.   I understand all the items on the check and what they mean by looking at the chesapeake web sight.

My question is what do the different number of lines mean?

for example 1st well has date, etc

second line has same

each line has all same info except for the type of product and the volume.

My question is do the number of lines change and what does that number mean?

thanks

i sure hope I explained what I mean well enough

Glad your getting some $$... not sure about any of what you want to know..

BUT...

im SURE.. everyone is wanting to know if YOUR HAPPY with the check

ie... how many acres do ;you have in unit.....and is check for 3 months or first monthly check

but MAINLY... do you think it is a FAIR check....?

Just doesn't seem to be much money being paid out in royalties... most places....:(

and WHERE are your wells located. and what type.. horizontal fracked ? or just vertical..

thanks, Mike

I think I follow your question, looking at this web page, http://www.chk.com/owners/pages/checkstub.aspx , but I'm baffled too.  The first well is simple enough, but why on the second well the lines would be doubled up for each type of product has me confused too.

On that page there is a number you can call.  Please post the explanation here so we can all learn.  Thanks!:

Ok  I talked to Chesapeake and the each line represents each sale.

For example  feb, 2014 33.97 barrels of oil were sold for 77.46

feb, 2014 25.53 barrels of oil were sold for 77.48

etc   a new line for each sale that month

now it makes sense.   I hope this helps people who are as slow as I am sometimes.  LOL

To answer your question Mike   We are in Carroll County Walters well.    It is for 2 months     This check is totally honoring our lease   so yes we are happy     it is money we never would have seen without the drilling.

Since your anonymous would you mind giving a ball park figure per acre what you recieved per acre Thanks

Im glad for you.. I feel the same.. any free money is fine..

BUT.... I got ANOTHER QUESTION...

you mention 33.97 barrels of oil sold for $77.46  ???

Oil is selling for around $90 to $100 a barrel....

Did they mean $77.46 PER BARREL...?

or did ALL 33 BARRELS sell for $77.46....

We have 2 laterals thru our land.. and wont be getting any checks till Oct..

We signed with AMARADO ....and OUR LEASE states....No deductions on Oil...

but they can deduct on the gas...

We have to "receive" exactly what EQT.. who now has our lease... sells the Barrels of oil for.....

to whomever they are selling it to....

Surely you were getting $77 a barrel..

Let me know....

I realize most leases are different for different companies....

I know its dumb to think you were getting $3 a barrel.. but im pretty dumb sometimes...:)

Thanks, Mike

MIke,

I'm guessing the "oil" is condensate and that price would be right.

Phil

The price is per barrel and it was sold in Feb so what ever the price was then.

We only have 7 acres in the entire unit however the check stub gives us numbers for the well which I think is a plus

I am assuming that everyone in our unit gets the same gross numbers and then it changes depending on how many acres one owns in the unit and the lease agreement.

Also, this is the very first check so numbers are going to be the highest

WOW.. thats great.. wheeeew.....had me worried there...:)

.$77 aint bad....

specially since you didn't have to spend a penny to drill for it...:)

We are lucky and have 2 laterals going thru our place..

If one dries up maybe the other will keep us going..

What about GAS royalties....where they about the same ??

as per $....

Kinda seems like if Oil pays a certain amount... the Gas in the same well pays about the same Money amount....per volume....

Mike

don't forget that is for the entire well not just our share

gas sold for about $7

OH I see.. the 33 bbls of oil were all that the well put out

for one month.. !!

Is this a Horizonel fracked well ?

really not much oil.....33 Barrels for one month...?

but then again.. they shut em down at times.....

Oh well.. free money is still good  :)

Remember each line is the oil or gas that was sold at that sale.

royalties are not based on production but sales

This report from Antero lists, for February of this year, gas at $4.60 and oil at $95.22:

http://seekingalpha.com/pr/9840103-antero-resources-reports-first-q...

And then here is an old report of some well production:

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/antero-resources-reports-second-q...

Doesn't seem too much in line with the numbers being recited here.

"$77 aint bad....specially since you didn't have to spend a penny to drill for it...:)" ---actually $77 doesn't sound bad, it sounds HORRIBLE.
