Shell drops the floor out of Lease Offer
My dad has a lease run out in June, and he had a landman stop yesterday. Apparently, they are offering $1,000 per acre.. LMFAO
Does Shell really think the landowners that signed the original BS leases are gonna come out and sign for that after their neighbors just signed for $3,250 6 months ago? I know, I know, it's the old they don't have competition. Tell you what, add up the acreage of all the old leases coming due, along with current holdouts, and they just found competiton. I really hope that landowners, without LAWYERS can keep communication lines open and not settle for BS lowball offers....

I love people who think someone without a law degree is incapable of putting one foot in front of the other. in Lawrence County PA, not Houston Texas, I bet there are damned few if any veteran O&G gas attorneys. I mean, I know they attended some seminars and hang banners on their offices, so what do I know LOL. Marcus, if you need a lawyer to help organize people and get them on the same page, then pray for yourself, as you're the one to pity....

No, I don't need anyone to organize a group for me. You go right ahead and do the group thing as it's gone swimmingly for everyone involved all the time. And as far as putting one foot in front of another, well, if that's what you think contract law is then you absolutely deserve the supreme screwing that you'll be getting in the not-too-distant future. I'll give you all the money in my wallet if you can come even close to proving this preposterous statement. All I said is that landmen love people like you. You're easy targets because you think you know everything. There's no shame in getting professionals to help you along the way. It's guys like you who don't get great deals and then come on here and complain about how they were "hoodwinked" which of course isn't true. You just whiffed and you're looking to blame someone other than yourself. Anyway, all the money in my wallet is up for grabs. Do your best.

I just reviewed this thread through to the end and found your post. No answer, eh? I guess he decided to shut up ha ha. (that's the best thing that could have happened to this thread). I read the Eagle Ford threads from time to time and notice that the folks down there are very respectful of each other, so different from some of the participants up here in "Yankee" land, who look at this site as a combat zone, or maybe a place to exhibit overblown egos, rather than a place for friendly discussion about the Marcellus/Utica. It takes all kinds I guess, but guys like this certainly drag the site down IMHO.
