Monroe County Beacon states that name of company to produce the steel billets is V V Steel which will make steel billets from scrap steel.  Twenty jobs initially with a ramp up to 60 as machinery comes on line.

Also in article Hannibal Development Partners President Eric Spirtas says they are talking to midstream oil support businesses in the sand business, pipe business and manufacturing business for possibilities to locate at the former Ormet site.

Based on rock bottom steel prices and today's front page WSJ article about massive Chinese dumping of steel on the world market, it's hard to believe more steel capacity will be added any time soon! I wouldn't bet a lot of money that this plant will move forward in the current environment.
