I am in the early stages of talks about a pad on my property. The property is small (8 acres) and the pad is going to be partially on me and partially on the adjacent property. The drilling company said we will get together for a surface agreement discussion. I already gave permission for test drilling and water quality testing and both have been done. What should I be expecting at the surface agreement, should I get an attorney, can anyone recommend one?
