I have been reading alot of discussions & I can't help but wonder why mid-western Pa isn't a bigger hot spot that it is?? I read about all the surrounding counties getting wells and leases, even in Ohio where Marcellus is very thin.  Gas companies would get two for the price of one?? I feel a little bewildered.

Thanks Rick...FINALLY some activity going on in Lawrence Co..GOOD TO HEAR!

I originally had a lease with Atlas then with Vista Resources which expired in October. Both Companies I am told have been bought out. I am waiting to hear from another company in the future. When I signed with Vista Resources about 6 years ago they brought a map that showed the Marcellus shale and told me that I was in a prime spot to be drilled for it. He even explained how deep the gas was and how much it was worth. After two three year leases they have not contacted me. The last one was for $10.00 per acre per year which paid the taxes :-)

I have not heard that Vista sold their company.  I know they flipped some property but not the whole company.  Have you had any new contacts with E&P companies?
