Playbook and energy info supplier lists as their top featured product  "The Utica Shale is the newest giant in the shale inventory of the US and Canada. From grassroots leasing to commencement of infrastructure build in 18 months, this new, liquids-rich shale play is already being compared with the Eagle Ford - possibly, as superior to it. This playbook focuses on the U.S. portion of the Utica shale, and particularly on activity in the rich gas window in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio."            Might stir up some more positive activity!

Opportunity can fall in ones lap, but it is much wiser to reach for it.  Naysayers don't know how to reach. More for everyone else.

I have property in the dry gas region of the Utica.  It's also in the thickest part of that shale as well.  The problem is, it's down 14000 feet so I am watching keenly for information on a horizontal well drilled to 14500 feet in Argentina by Haliburton.  If anyone knows the results of that well, I'd sure like to hear about it.

refreshing reading everyone's comments, maybe this will get better someday for the yutes.

Remember we spend a billion a day on foreign OIL, wouldn't that  billion a day have a far greater economic impact if it was spent here every day.

Jimmy

Actually Jimmy, no....We send money to the middle east for oil, they in turn spend money on armaments made here in the USA.....That's our unstated foreign policy.

It's more like a razor program.  You get a free razor in the mail with one blade.  When the blade is worn out you go to the store and a pack of a few blades is $36.90.  Expensive but they shave better than what you had before.

We give a oil country 3 or 4 of the newest or next to newest high tech jet fighters with a few token missles and they buy a few hundred extra missles at 4 to 8 million a piece.  Is it a break even or profitable venture?  Where the money goes nobody knows.
