If you remember I had posted last year that our lease had been renewed. We have never received any papers such as a release. Of course that is not to say it won't happen. It was renewed in the summer.

Marilyn,

There can be a state law that allows you to terminate a lease that expired without payment per the terms of the lease.

What state?

O&G companies don't like to lose land under lease even when they don't follow the lease. There are probably thousands of cases in the Appalachian Basin alone where O&G companies have conned landowners into thinking their leases are being held by production or not being held and sold to another company.

This is why everyone on this website advises landowners who have an expired lease to get that lease Released or suffer the consequences.

These O&G folks are use to having their way with landowners. This social media is upsetting their apple cart.

Ron,

I respect your feelings. I don't believe in making my feelings public for everyone to drag through the mud. I was just stating a fact. Our lease ran out last summer and it was renewed.

BTW This is Pa. I am talking about.
