In a joint news conference with T. Boon Pickens, President Obama announced today that he has lifted the drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico and will begin Leasing land in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuse for Oil and Gas Exploration. He has also instructed the Department of Energy and the EPA to allow individual state to regulate Oil and Gas development in there jurisdictions. This  comes on the heels of his earlier announcement to convert all federal fleet vehicals to natural gas. In another bold move Secretary of State Hillery Clinton said a no-fly zone will be imposed in Libya at noon today. Crude oil futures are down 18% on the news. April contracts for Natural Gas are on the raise.
