President Obama held a press confence today for real.

A few of the points he made;

Our oil partners can take up the slack for Libya. (opec are our partners?)

Our economy can take the higher fuel prices.

He told the Interior Department to review oil leases that have already been signed and report back to him in 2 weeks. 

He instructed the Energy Department to study energy resources off of the east coast and Alaska.

He quoted T Boon Pickens- " T. Boon Pickens is correct when he says 'We cant drill our way out of this'".    (Thats what the President said.)

We are in meetings with Nato in regards to a no-fly zone. No decision will be made be for next Tue.

His only mention of nat. gas was to say "I'm still committed to having 80% of our electric produced from clean energy, wind, solar, clean coal, nuclear and nat. gas by 2035." 

He said his thoughts are with the people of Japan (I second that)
