I think it is a great start, but we need substantially more than 15,000 members for any kind of real power.  We need to take this beyond the internet to all the folks out there that need help, don't know how to get help, or know anything about us here at GMS.   I have been networking with some of these very people.  I know for sure that for every one of us on this site, there are at least 50 more landowners out there who don't know we exist.  They are being squashed by bad leases and untruthful developers.  I know this for a fact!  In my county alone there are major leaseholders that have lied through their teeth to get these folks to sign bad addendums with threats of "forced pooling", HBP (when there is none) and "I'll shut in your well and cut off your free gas" if you don't sign.  They are turning these leases and taking the landowners sign up bonuses, leaving the landowner at 12.5% and keeping a 6.25% rider on royalties.  These people need help now.  You can take that to the bank.

So, how do we reach them?  The only way that I can think of is a massive membership drive.  It would take a lot of work, but I for one am ready.  

Why do I care so much?  Hell I don't know, but I do.
