What is utilization clause and how do I know if I have it?

Are you sure you don't mean unitization clause?
Unitization, on the other hand, refers to the consolidation of mineral or leasehold interests covering a common source of oil and or gas supply in order to most efficiently extract the oil and gas. Unitization not only protects the efficiency of the natural gas production, but it also protects the correlative rights of the various owners within the pool.
