For those of you who have wells and pipelines going through your property (or very close to), can you describe the disruption to your life?  I'm interested in the problems with truck traffic, road issues, noise, mess, security, trespassing, trash, etc. Thanks.

I notice you did not include any BENEFICIAL or POSITIVE experiences to your wish list.

Give me those, too.  I'm not an environmental "wacko" just a landowner about to experience the ride.  I know that the $$ is a positive.

How far are you from the well? We are at the end of our unit so about two miles from well. We have five pads within two miles. We have two pipelines that cross our street and other roads we use to get to work. There is currently no drilling or pipeline work. So life is normal now. The only issues we had were traffic issues. We had flaggers stopping traffic some and roadwork on our street more frequently but our road is now better than before. We were not really close enough to any pad to have sound or light issues. We have room darkening curtains and our house is pretty sound proof. It's brick.

Thanks for what I would consider good news.  Your unit must be very large to accommodate five pads.  Right now, we're dealing with multiple pipelines running through our property and one pad about 1/2 mile from us.  Nothing has started yet - coming soon.

No we are in one unit 640 acres. We have five different pads all within a couple miles of us just off side roads on our road. Actually if you turn left out our drive there are two pads on the first road ... One left and one right. If you turn right from our drive the first road left there is one pad. The first right there is our pad then another mile down is a second pad. I think all of these wells have two 640 acre units each. We had a big group lease signing with Chesapeake and the lease limited unit size to 640 acres. We are in Columbiana County OH.

Live close to a well about half a mile......the noise is a lot at first but you get use to it. And we have a lot of truck traffic in the area. You get use to that also........overall not that bad considering the payoff.  Good luck.
