gasoholic...just wanted to thank you for your sharing with the group this info and all the times that you spend your time in sharing with us for it takes some time to key all that info in and to bring up issues that need attention.   It is a privilage to greet others that care for others...it helps all of us to do better.
Thank you VG and let me say thank you to all who are stepping forward and doing what needs to be done in order for all of us to keep our rights ! This is "our land", "our minerals" and I believe "our legislators" need to here from each and every one of us so as to understand that they are in office to "represent us". Let the legislators know that this is business and that you are willing to sign a lease when the right offer comes along. FIGHT TO KEEP YOUR RIGHT TO A FAIR LEASE !!!

thanks...

I sure wish I knew what I know now about leases with the O & G...we sure did rely on the land agent and even though he did try to tell us much...but we were like kindigarden kids in a new school....and were awing and not acknowledging these clauses and what they really meant but we really couldn't comprehend all of that at that time.   Now we have the tools to know more so hopefully the next lease (and we hope there will be one) will find us all more able to represent ourselves better and/or to even understand the lawyer if one is retained.

You are not alone. I know several who have taken the same path. I would have also if it wasn't for curiosity one night while on the computer. I'll have to say that even though I've been studying the process for almost 3 years, I still feel as if I'll never know enough. But I'm trying !
