What are they doing?

 I have been seeing a helicopter with what looks to be a long cable or hose with a round ball shaped thing at the end of the cable, flying around the properties whrer I live. Does anyone know what they may be doing? Does it have to do with siesmic testing?

It sure does..They are dropping the supplies bag and picking it up when done..The box, cord and equipment are in the bag..

I also had the helicopter over my head on Sunday afternoon, he was waving to me..I have many seismic testing boxes on my property and I believe they were taking readings from them..

They are doing the area of Trout Run and outskirts of Blossburg, Arnot and such..Lots of state forest being done..
