WVMOA Founder Ron Hayhurst and Bob Hart of NARO Appalachia are meeting with Acting Senate President Jeffrey V. Kessler on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 to discuss why members of the West Virginia Mineral Owners Association (WVMOA) are opposed to forced pooling. Ron is asking for our help by emailing Senator Kessler's Office on (Monday, February 7, 2011) at jeff.kessler@wvsenate.gov and/or calling his office at (304-357-7801) and telling him that you are against the pending Force Pooling legislation and in particular Senate Bill#424.
Even if you are not a member of WVMOA, this is a real opportunity to let a legislator at the top know exactly how you feel. Senate Bill 424 will strip away your property rights and give them to the gas companies. So far everybody else's interest in this endeavor...the gas industry, the coal industry, WVSORO, etc,...has been protected. Everyone but the mineral owners. It's time to begin to stand up for your rights. Tell your neighbors, your circle of friends, your email buddies, everybody. Call or email Senator Kessler today! Thank you.

Will do all of the above, Gasoholic.  If mineral owners don't stand up now - they won't have any say or rights to stand on - in the future.

Sincerely,

Todd & Kit
