WVMOA FOUNDER TO MEET WITH SENATOR JEFFREY V. KESSLER ON TUESDAY

WVMOA Founder Ron Hayhurst and Bob Hart of NARO Appalachia are meeting with Senate President Jeffrey V. Kessler on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 to discuss why members of the West Virginia Mineral Owners Association (WVMOA) are opposed to forced pooling. Ron is asking for our help by emailing Senator Kessler's Office on Monday, February 7, 2011, ahead of Tuesday's meeting at jeff.kessler@wvsenate.gov and/or calling his office at (304-357-7801) and telling him or whoever asnsers the telephone that you are against the pending Forced Pooling Legislation and in particular Senate Bill#424.

Even if you are not a member of WVMOA, this is a real opportunity to let a legislator at the top know exactly how you feel. Senate Bill 424 will strip away your property rights and give them to the gas companies. No bonus money, 12.5% royalty, no Pugh clause, HBP, production costs that never end and terms that are dictated by the gas companies! So far everybody else's interest in this endeavor...the gas industry, the coal industry, WVSORO, etc,...has been protected. Everyone but the mineral owners. It's time to begin to stand up for your rights. Tell your neighbors, your circle of friends, your email buddies, everybody and anybody that has an interest in this should call or email Senator Kessler. Call or email Senator Kessler today! Thank you.

I should mention that Senator Jeffrey V. Kessler, D-Marshall County is one of the sponsors of SB424.
